Website design and development
MoA design are a British brand who specialise in crafting unique and beautiful homeware from reclaimed wood. The central ideas behind the brand are built around sustainability, recycling and a drive to preserve the UK’s heritage timber - values that mean a great deal to founders Ilze & Michael. From their inception in 2008, the pair have relocated from London to the beautiful West Country to better implement their long-term plans for the business.
MoA’s products range from photograph frames, coat hooks and other smaller items to beautiful industrial furniture pieces and bespoke orders.
We contacted Nexus to develop our website, drive sales and improve the user experience of our ecommerce site. The team came to visit us and listened carefully to our needs. We talked openly about how we envisaged the site working and they completely understood our requirements and suggested some great ideas! The end result was a fully responsive web design that works in a user-friendly format, making for an easy and smooth shopping experience across all portable platforms. The Nexus team were always there at the end of the phone throughout every stage of the project.
Moa initially approached us looking for a redesign for their e-commerce website. The client indicated that one of the main requirements for the new website was to encourage and drive sales directly from their site. The company offers a number of products on the online shopping site ‘Not on the High Street’, so it was immediately evident that we needed to improve the user experience of the site to help tip the balance in favour of moadesign.co.uk.
We developed a clean yet flexible design to improve the overall performance of the site. After discussions we decided to develop a ‘wish list’ system so customers can mark the products they are interested in as they move through the site. This is designed to work without registering, so the customer can quickly “bookmark” a product and allows the customer to share the list if required. Star rating review functionality was added using a nifty CSS trick, and promotional code features were developed from the existing format.
The fully responsive web design works on a user-friendly format making for an easy and smooth shopping experience across all portable platforms, something that is essential for any e-commerce site. In addition to the web build, we set up social media profiles for Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest in order to grow their customers and to fit in with the social sharing options and establish a more interactive site.
The work we completed for MoA directly resulted in a 150% increase in sales through the website. We remain in touch with MoA and continue to assist and advise as the business grows.
We've had a fantastic growth year on year on sales since our new website has launched - we did not expect to see a 150% increase!! Thank you.
