Press Advertising

Press advertising can play a major part in your marketing mix. There are two main type of press advertising; display and classified. Both can be used to great advantage when coupled with a creative press advertising concept. As members of the Newspaper Society, Nexus are well placed to advise, plan, book and design your press advertising in local, regional and national newspaper titles.

Newspapers generally fall into two distribution types; paid for and free. Paid for titles are shop bought and free titles are door dropped or available free at pick up points such as stations.

A common mistake many businesses make is to advertise week-in-week-out in the same publications. We can provide a FREE review of your press advertising and because we receive agency commissions from newspapers we do not charge you for planning or booking press advertising on your behalf.

Newspapers are made up of a number of press advertising sections to help you target your advert to particular readers and for many publications the rate you pay is different depending on the advertising section. Each press advertising section can be used to great effect by combining the right design at the the right size for the right product.

Whether you need a new advertising campaign strategy or just a one-off press ad, we provide a creative and well-planned approach to press advertising that will integrate perfectly with your other communications.

Special Position

For maximum effect sometimes it is position that counts. Ads in the bottom right are considered to be the most impactful particularly on page three.

Prices for other positions are negotiable with most publications such as earpieces (small ad by the publication's title) or footers (small strips that run across the bottom of the fron or back pages).
