Almost 10 million Britons watched the country’s first televised election debate last night. A huge step forward in the world of politics.
Britain has never before held a televised leaders’ debate, and the general opinion is that it was a success despite a rules-heavy format that barred audience applause. Two more debates are planned before the May elections and now that the three gentlemen know what to expect and have hopefully lost their “first night nerves”,? it promises to be an interesting run up to the big day.
