Competition time! Unite the seagulls
2nd February, 2017
This competition is now closed! Thank you to everyone who entered!
Can you help us mend this seagull's broken heart? His name is Richard and his girlfriend is lost somewhere in the website!
Richard is just an average seagull. London born and Sussex bred, he enjoys flying around Brighton and Shoreham terrorising locals and making a horrible mess everywhere. He was always strictly a lone gull until, one day, everything changed.
It was a balmy summer’s evening when he spotted something so beautiful, so stunning, it took his breath away. There, in the dusky haze of Brighton beach, lay an abandoned heap of freshly fried chips. His belly rumbled in anticipation of the delicious meal before his eyes.
With a swift swoop across the shore, he landed next to the chips and prepared to stuff his beak. Suddenly, he was surprised with a loud SQUAWK! in his ear. The chips, it seemed, were already the property of another seagull.
Not ready to give up without a fight, he turned to face the rival gull, only to find that she was even more beautiful than the chips. A love deeper than chips? He never thought this possible, besides it was so hard to meet nice birds in Brighton.
She awkwardly introduced herself. Her name was Cathy. He could see in her black beady eyes that she was happy to share her chips with him, and thus their love was born.
6 months later, she’s gone. He can’t sleep, he can’t think straight, food doesn’t even appeal. He’s sick with worry.
He doesn’t know how she got lost, all he does know is that he has to find her fast.
Can you help?
If you can track her down before the Valentines Day you could be in with a chance of winning a romantic meal at Côte Brasserie!
Once you’ve brought Cathy safely back to Richard’s feathery embrace simply enter your email address and we’ll announce the winner on the 14th of February. Keep your eyes on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for clues!
