Have you considered cinema advertising

12th June, 2009

Cinema advertising is emerging as a serious contender when considering which media to use for your advertising. According to the latest Cinema Advertising Association figures, the number of movie goers has seen a year-on-year increase of 41% for April!

Cinema admissions for January 1st to April 30th this year was just over 55 million which is a 14% increase on the same period last year. Some of this increase may have been driven by 3D films such as My Bloody Valentine 3D and Bolt 3D, as well as the big movies Monsters vs Aliens and the action film The Fast and Furious 4.

Looking at the list of other movies expected for release this year I can't see this trend changing so it might be time to consider cinema advertising in your marketing mix.

There are obvious on screen advertising options including static ads (usually playing whilst you are taking your seats) and the live action ads (usually played with the trailers) but there are other opportunities too including; washrooms, 6 sheet posters and on the backs of tickets.

Cinema advertising works for both local and national businesses and there are various options to suit all budgets. Well worth considering for your next campaign in my opinion.

Takes me back to my youth.
